A really slow pace of travel... very relaxing.... as you cruise along the river. Totally different feeling than ocean cruising. In Europe most of the prettiest towns were built on the river banks… so you get to see some amazing little towns. In the fall the sides of the river banks are filled with the orange leaves of the grape vines... On the Rhine there are fabulous castles around every bend!
And if you have a small group you can charter your very own river boat or barge. Tom and I have done a lot of river cruising... We love it! |
